Yellow is because it is in the earth and gets no sun….hence no chlorophyll. My guess about being skinny is, that they can only absorb so much water through that small root system, and it’s sending energy to the pups, as well. When they talk about being thin due to lack of light, it’s because they stretch towards the light. I wouldn’t worry, unless you see pests.
I saw some things about having too much organic matter in the soil, and there’s a lot of bark in this mix. I just got a shallower pot to transplant them into also. More stones and sand I think will be good for them also. Especially the lophophora I think is getting just a bit too wet.
