Succulents and cacti are simply too numerous to be covered responsibly in any one book. I would suggest you consider smaller subcategories, then research the available authoritative resource books on line.

The randomness of what you might stumble upon in thrift stores and flea markets, etc., is a good way to accumulate a large number of books, but not a good way to get the the best available books on a given subject.

Some of the best references are quite expensive, but many are very affordable. Just check their availability on several common online book sites (don’t forget eBay). You can find very good books in the recent editions for $0.01 plus $3.99 shipping.
