It’s not normal it’s reaching for sun, it needs more sunlight. I love using a medium of 2 parts cactus soil, 1 part perlite and I prefer to plant mine in terra cotta pots with drainage holes or terra cotta strawberry planters. I water my outdoor succulents once a week during growing season and once a month or less during their dormant stage.
