How to remove glue from cacti from Home Depot?

I bought these two cacti at Home Depot. Looks like they glued these blooms on. What’s the best way to remove them? Any helpful advice is appreciated.

I hate this so so much I don't understand why they feel the need to glue fake flowers on them when the real blooms are magnificent and sadly many people have no idea they are fake flowers same for the painted stuff they sell.

I very nicely speak to the manager and express my concerns. If enough of us do likewise, Home Depot and Lowe's might stop the practice.

Unfortunately as long as they are selling they will continue to carry them I have tried to inform them how to properly care for most of the plants the torture every time I'm in there but they just don't care and don't have people who know about plants working in the garden center they always water them no matter what and just don't care about taking advice from knowledgeable people.

As to the painting and the glued on flowers please understand that is taking place at the point of origin and not at the retailer . Please also know that very few big box retail employees have any control or input as to what they have on sale or product selection . Your time would be better served voicing your concerns directly to corporate instead of at the store level.

They sell because people want plant decor, not plants. And they think a cactus will require nothing of them. And if it comes with some color attached? Even better!

I love that people are getting into plants. I hate that the trend has driven up prices and made growers do stupid stuff like this to trick buyers.

If you call corporate, it will be almost impossible to actually speak to the person who purchases the plants. Most of the time, you end up speaking to a person with no authority. By speaking to the store manager, who has a great amount of authority, and who knows who needs to have the information, you can get your point across to corporate. If the store manager knows sales are being lost because plants are being tinted and/or have glued flowers, he/she will address the issue.

It's actually not up to Home Depot. I used to work in the garden department there. We never ordered plants, vendors just sold through us for a fee.

Lowes might be different, but I highly doubt they control what comes in either.

Be careful, by pulling them off you might damage the plant. They put them on with a hot glue gun. I set mine in the sun and after a week or two they peel off easy.
